AIRISE – Open Call 5 Cascade Funding

airise

AIRISE promotes the increased use of Artificial Intelligence in manufacturing. Its primary focus is on empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the adoption of AI, by enhancing their skills and capabilities. The AIRISE ecosystem offers a comprehensive range of services, ranging from scientific support, across shop-floor deployment support, to skills and education on the use of AI in manufacturing. The key objective is the reduction of waste and carbon footprint while ensuring a resilient production.

Motonius is co-funded under Open Call 5 to investigate the integration of Artificial Intelligence, specifically Machine Vision techniques, into the refurbish and reuse processes for motorcycle parts, allowing for faster, easier and more accurate identification of used parts condition towards optimal reuse or recycle. The process will help to meet upcoming EU regulations for end-of-life motorcycles, promotes circularity through reuse of OEM parts and sustainability through proper recycling of motorcycle waste in the ever-growing two and three-wheel market.
